Being kind to people

When I was in high school my mother took me shopping. One of my least favorite things in the world is shopping. It was winter time in Iowa and very cold so she had me trying on big coats. But I already had a big coat. I told my mother I really didn’t need a new coat and she said good be cause it’s not for you. Then she was talking to herself. Well he’s larger then you so it needs to be bigger. She finally bought a new coat. She gave it to the pastor of our church and told him who needed it, and he was to give it to him with no reference to where it came from. A couple weeks later I saw this big guy in our church with the coat I had been trying on. He was very nice but mentally handicapped and had been only wearing flannel shirts. My mother took care of him in a small way.

This is what the coat looked like
